hey there buddy! so what has been going on up here lately? sorry I have not been around all too much I`ve been trying to get my second wiki i made not long ago straight but I have been dropping in here from time to time I see more character pages are being put up. Yeah cuz he needs to be the last page created, and mad noobs keep trying to make it. So I had to keep deleting it cuz it was highly incomplete, I finnaly figured out how to lock it after like the fourth time lmao.
I don't really understand, how come he has to be the last page?
Why would an article need to be deleted due to incompleteness? I thought the whole point of wikis is that stuff begins incomplete and gradually becomes more complete by being present and people adding more until it's done.
Well because for starters no one LIKE YOURSELF reads the manual of style so they dnt know how to make the page and btw I have to cleanup the mess u just made. You made two pages and categories that were incomplete in unesscerry when I can do it in one shot, thats why I don't let others do them.
Wikis are supposed to be collaborative efforts though Desboy, why not let others contribute? I mean yeah, if you can do a better job than others, by all means, but I don't see why pages need to remain non-existent until you decide to touch them.
I don't consider my contributions a mess. Those categories were useful and collected articles based on common attributes. It seems like a waste of time to remove them when they're cheap and do no harm and have the benefit of organizing contents. Like what if people want to see all the (minority) pages of female characters? Now they can't. :(
Common article atributes are to be at the bare minimum for such a small group, breaking them down further is just simply minor edits and just a ploppy mess that needs to be further tended to over time. Keep things simple and more organized and stay out of the way.
There's female in the infobox, all over the page it says female. Characters are characters, media is media, important terms and etc..breaking them down further just brings more work to me and you and plus it serves no greater good just don't do it.
I agree that breaking characters down into organizational subcategories is simply a minor edit, not complex at all. But I don't really see what makes it a ploppy mess.
These categories serve to organize the information further. It allows people to collectively view links to all articles sharing a common attribute. It becomes less organized by lacking them.
While the information is certainly present in the infobox (the category duplicates that at the bottom), the presence in the infobox doesn't provide the convenient alphabetical presentation of articles sharing that infobox trait like a category does.
Breaking them down further involved more work to me, but I don't understand why it required more work of you, as you created work through the choice to delete them. The greater good is organizational presentation of the data.
If you don't want to make pages, no pressure at all, I just think it would be good to allow others to build them, in that case, even if it has to start as an inferior stub until it gets improved up to par with the others. For every lacking page, a void of information exists.

Yeah I'm just a little curious to what you would be adding to the slider and navigation bar o3o. I was planning to expand it as soon as I can push out these last three episodes. Looking for a character and maybe Casshan slide.
I would like to update it a little with any relevant information and then maybe add things to connect with other pages on the wiki. If you would prefer to keep the slider as it is, an option might be to create portals for characters or something like on this one (http://kingdom-anime.wikia.com/wiki/Kingdom_Wiki) where the characters are on the main page and all laid out instead of on the side. In terms of adding stuff to the right rail, I was thinking of adding a news, blog, and/or whatever else you think you would like to see (maybe a poll of your choice?).
As for the navigation bar, it seems a little cramped so I was thinking of splitting up the Casshern Sins category, maybe even making the FUNimation part a category of its own. If there is anything that you would like to be changed or kept, definitely let me know!
yeah the characters thing was to be diverse, since most wiki's have it in the front, I had it like that at one time actually but I'm experimenting with the home page atm. As for the right rail, since Casshern Sins isn't so popular, theirs not much for me to work with plus I dnt have much of a community so a blog spot or a poll would be kinda pointless. But I would love the relavent information, and when I build up the community I would like to build up the homepage perminantly.
Ignoring the wordmark, is there anything you want me to change? I moved things around, edited the navigation bar, added videos, etc. If you are alright with it, I can implement it today!
Hey Des, another thing the staff noticed is that the Wanted pages for this wiki (http://casshan.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WantedPages) need a little bit of help. Is it alright if I help out a bit by creating some pages for you?
Well ummn for the slider, I'd rather not expand like that since I have to make room for Casshan, If u really recommend putting the characters in the middle rather then the side, then I'll reorganize the template cuz the way it is now is for side use plus I'll kill the previous episodes all together. For the rest of the sidebar I dont think the "2 more days" thing is really all that nesscessary. But everything else looks really good, thanks for your help.
2. That would be great T^T just not characters. I'll do those when I push out these last 3 episodes. But I could really help with staff members for Casshern's sins development like all the directors and stuff.
I added the things you didn't mind (videos, episode link, and changed nav bar)! I think it would be a good idea to move the characters to the middle and getting rid of previous episodes. I will also try working on Wanted pages where I can. If you would like me to change something else, feel free to let me know.
I would really like the navigation bar back to the way it was, so I'll change that. I'll also work on getting rid of the previous episodes and moving the characters

I see them on Toonami on saturdays but you seem to be way ahead with the episodes..
Oh lol, welcome back and you have to make ur images bigger to fit our quality. I watch the series on youtube, well I finished it. I can get the creenshots of those pics in high quality, so I can do it.

high there I got your message I will help out here then too this wiki is more refined and nice. I noticed your the only one up here I know how it feels to make a wiki and be alone on it for awhile. I made a wiki recently Nage Libre:Seijaku no Suishin wiki and I`m doing all the work. let me ask though is the Casshern sins wiki I was on failed too? I read your profile and is that one the failed one? because I might be able to take that one over at some point.
Yeah it seems like the one you were at is well...dead, not exactly failed, just didn't have the right managment. You should prob just leave it, then one day me, you and hopefully some other people can merge the links to form one big Casshern Sins Wiki.
alright sounds good I will help this one then I have a few images from that wiki to move here and info for the characters as more character pages are needed. But wow who would have thought I could not find the admin of that wiki either good thing you came thanks! and hope to chat again soon.
Not to sound mean, but you should view the image policy. I appreciate the effort, but all images need to be .png and fit a certain resolution to be uploaded. After that each of them need to be licensed with the fairuse and a rationale. They are also to be categorized appropriatley @.@. I know alotta rules but you'll get used to them.
