Mad House Inc. is a Japanese animation studio, founded in 1972 by ex–Mushi Pro animators, including Masao Maruyama, Osamu Dezaki, Rintaro, and Yoshiaki Kawajiri.
Madhouse revealed Project Casshern at the Tokyo International Anime Fair 2008 in March of that year. It was directed by Shigeyasu Yamauchi, character designed Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and series script supervised by Yasuko Kobayashi.
